The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ole-Einar Førde during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dagfinn Thingstad's late challenge caught a Godøysund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dagfinn Thingstad helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, Bomstad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagfinn Thingstad to maneuver through the defense. Roar Blystad didn't quite understand what happened when in the 9 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Bomstad's Tore Vevle played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bent Brenden in the 14th minute of play. Bent Brenden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Tore Vevle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ole-Einar Førde was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 22 minutes had been played. Ole-Einar Førde kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Jonathan Kronstad could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 24th minute of the match, but Andreas Nøttveit made a huge save. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Godøysund's goalkeeper Andreas Nøttveit, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 33rd minute, Bent Brenden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dagfinn Ekstrøm received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Tore Vevle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bent Brenden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dagfinn Ekstrøm came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Godøysund fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dagfinn Ekstrøm couldn't finish the play. After 39 minutes, Oliver Tønsberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bomstad and the Godøysund players grew even worse after the yellow card. Thanks to some nice moves Jonathan Kronstad could shoot a difficult shot in the 44th minute, which Andreas Nøttveit however easily saved by the left post.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Bent Brenden stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fred Pettersson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Andreas Nøttveit tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bent Brenden fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tore Vevle having to interfere. Godøysund's Andreas Nøttveit played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fred Pettersson in the 63rd minute of play. Bent Brenden received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Tore Vevle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Bent Brenden had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bent Brenden could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Tore Vevle made a huge save. In the 73rd minute, Jonathan Kronstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fred Pettersson took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Andreas Nøttveit. Andreas Nøttveit dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Jon-Erik Østenstad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Godøysund's supporters rose to their feet, but Jon-Erik Østenstad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tore Vevle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Andreas Nøttveit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Pettersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bent Brenden's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Tore Vevle skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Bent Brenden scored 1-1 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Tore Vevle, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
