Sondre Lundby was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 5 minutes into the match. When Nikolai Granerud came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Skaperud fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nikolai Granerud couldn't finish the play. In the 23rd minute Kjartan Koren suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. When Jakob Langholm fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aaraksbö's protests and gave Jakob Langholm a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Aaraksbö getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jakob Langholm hit a great ball. 25 minutes into the match, Skaperud's Ingar Grude broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Tor-Magnus Heimdal scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Stein Fjeldberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nikolai Granerud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Stein Fjeldberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tor-Magnus Heimdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stein Fjeldberg having to interfere. Nikolai Granerud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Stein Fjeldberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Skaperud got a freekick which was hit by Tor-Magnus Heimdal. After the first half Skaperud were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
A collision led to Aaraksbö getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Johannes Øvrum hit a great ball. Stein Fjeldberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nikolai Granerud in the 53rd minute. Geir Gran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Ottesen having to interfere. If Jakob Langholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute, Geir Gran ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marius Ottesen was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The supporters of Aaraksbö booed when Skaperud was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Øivind Refseth didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Aaraksbö's goalkeeper Stein Fjeldberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 71st match minute, Aaraksbö was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tom Ramsvik to maneuver through the defense. Geir Gran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marius Ottesen having to interfere. After having played for 76 minutes, Stig-Inge Vallestad managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aaraksbö's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stig-Inge Vallestad was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Geir Gran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 95th minute of the game, Tom Ramsvik landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Tor-Magnus Heimdal charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tor-Magnus Heimdal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Skaperud's Tor-Magnus Heimdal got a free kick in the 96th minute.
