In the 26th minute of the match, Tor-Magnus Heimdal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Egil Fjeldheim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Øyeren IF's zone, Øivind Refseth stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Egil Fjeldheim came out of the goal and Øivind Refseth tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 31st minute, Øivind Refseth got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nikolai Granerud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Egil Fjeldheim having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tage Sørum during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 57th minute of the game. One of Øyeren IF:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Skaperud:s goal. Skaperud's Marius Ottesen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ola Malm in the 64th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nikolai Granerud in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Egil Fjeldheim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kjartan Koren charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Kjartan Koren the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Skaperud's Kjartan Koren got a free kick in the 67th minute. Idar Kleveland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marius Ottesen having to make a save. Egil Fjeldheim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nikolai Granerud in the 95th minute of play. Øyeren IF succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Skaperud had controlled the match.
