Vegard Aspaas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Linus Fossnes in the 12th minute of play forced Orkla FK's goalkeeper Asgeir Jonsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jon Klepp's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Asgeir Jonsson firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 24th match minute, Carlsberg IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vegard Aspaas to maneuver through the defense. In the 25th match minute, Orkla FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henrik Ringdal to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Henrik Ringdal in the 28th minute of play forced Carlsberg IF's goalkeeper Guglielmo Panno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Orkla FK booed when Carlsberg IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jon Klepp didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Jon Klepp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Henrik Ringdal fell near the penalty area in the 38th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Orkla FK's protests and gave Henrik Ringdal a yellow card for diving instead. Henrik Ringdal hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. In the 45th minute, Daniel Oppedal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Jon Klepp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Asgeir Jonsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. Casper Solstrand fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asgeir Jonsson having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jon Klepp in the 67th minute of play forced Orkla FK's goalkeeper Asgeir Jonsson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 68th match minute, Orkla FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jim-André Røen to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Jon Klepp notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Orkla FK's Asgeir Jonsson. Asgeir Jonsson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Jøran Hjelmeland received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Asgeir Jonsson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jon Klepp scored 2-0 in the 82nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Asgeir Jonsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Jon Klepp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 94th minute Casper Solstrand shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Asgeir Jonsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Carlsberg IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
