Jon Klepp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kjartan Opdahl having to make a save. Kjartan Opdahl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon Klepp, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. When Gjermund Midtbø fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Braathveit's protests and gave Gjermund Midtbø a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes Braathveit got a freekick which was hit by Gjermund Midtbø. Jon Klepp's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kjartan Opdahl read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 39th minute of play. Guglielmo Panno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Øyvind Nedregård, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Jon Klepp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jon Klepp made a kick off. If Jon Klepp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kjartan Opdahl showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jon Klepp in the 59th minute of the match. In the 67th minute the ball was on its way in behind Carlsberg IF's goalkeeper Guglielmo Panno, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Linus Fossnes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Ådne Dalheim's late challenge caught a Carlsberg IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ådne Dalheim helped the player get up and apologised. Linus Fossnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute.
