Hvittingfoss's supporters crossed their fingers, but William Alvær was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Kobrakameratene's goal looked a bit too open when William Alvær came free, but Halvdan Smistad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vegard Fretheim got free with Morten Gjerde in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Martin Fjeldberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Hvittingfoss getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Geir Høiseth hit a great ball. Morten Gjerde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lasse Molteberg in the 31st minute of the match. In the 33rd minute, Lasse Molteberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Hvittingfoss getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Inge Nordberg hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Martin Fjeldberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kobrakameratene's supporters rose to their feet, but Martin Fjeldberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Morten Gjerde breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Martin Fjeldberg made a kick off. If William Alvær had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the match, Kobrakameratene's goal looked a bit too open when William Alvær came free, but Halvdan Smistad reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Kobrakameratene's zone, William Alvær stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Halvdan Smistad came out of the goal and William Alvær tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 65 minutes into the match, Kobrakameratene's goalkeeper Halvdan Smistad had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eilif Aakvik. With an all-out effort, Hvittingfoss's Halvdan Smistad threw himself towards the right post 70 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from William Alvær, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Eilif Aakvik who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 73rdth minute tested the skills of Halvdan Smistad when he managed to save the team from getting behind. William Alvær sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lars-Olav Torgersen hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. Lasse Molteberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 92nd minute, Martin Fjeldberg made a precise shot to the right of Morten Gjerde. Hvittingfoss's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Morten Gjerde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lasse Molteberg in the 96th minute of play. Eilif Aakvik received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Halvdan Smistad tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
