An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan Petersen in the 3rd minute of play forced FBK Spurs's goalkeeper Jens Parveen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 4 minutes, Philip Fauske managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sæter's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philip Fauske was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Petersen in the 7th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jens Parveen saved FBK Spurs from getting behind. In the 11th minute, Adrian Frantzen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sæter's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tor-Magnus Nøttveit in the 14th minute. A nice corner shot did that Tor-Magnus Nøttveit got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jens Parveen quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Christer Kristoffersen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tor-Ivar Fagervik was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Christer Kristoffersen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Tor-Ivar Fagervik tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tor-Ivar Fagervik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christian Hustoft went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 41st minute Christer Kristoffersen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tor-Ivar Fagervik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Philip Fauske sent away a hard shot on goal in the 49th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Christer Kristoffersen to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, Sæter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Christer Leirdal to maneuver through the defense. If Christer Kristoffersen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Petersen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Jens Parveen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tor-Ivar Fagervik took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christer Kristoffersen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christer Kristoffersen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Philip Fauske got free with Jens Parveen in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tor-Ivar Fagervik showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christer Kristoffersen, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. FBK Spurs's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
