In the 3rd match minute, Tjørndalen FF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sigve Haugland to maneuver through the defense. After 5 minutes of play, Ådnavik's Rune Do made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dennis Pettersen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bent Reinholdtsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Ådne Elde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 13th minute Georg Thorsø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ådne Elde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bent Reinholdtsen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 15thth minute, Ådne Elde skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Rune Do might have been able to make a better finish in the 17th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dennis Pettersen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rune Do ran back to his position shaking his head. Georg Thorsø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ådnavik's goalkeeper Ådne Elde, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Martin Langås had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Ådnavik's Rune Do sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dennis Pettersen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dennis Pettersen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Langås, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Martin Langås received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Dennis Pettersen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Harald Skramstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Do in the 38th minute of play forced Tjørndalen FF's goalkeeper Dennis Pettersen to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Georg Thorsø to strike the kick off in the second half. Espen Træet kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. After 57 played minutes Ådnavik got a freekick which was hit by Rune Do. 62 minutes into the game, Tjørndalen FF's Bent Reinholdtsen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ådne Elde made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. When Georg Thorsø came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Tjørndalen FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Georg Thorsø couldn't finish the play. Ådne Elde showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bent Reinholdtsen in the 68th minute of the match. In the 73rd minute, Georg Thorsø got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rune Do struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Dennis Pettersen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ådnavik. In the 85th minute Georg Thorsø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ådne Elde saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Tjørndalen FF's zone, Jonathan Ramsdal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dennis Pettersen came out of the goal and Jonathan Ramsdal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bent Reinholdtsen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ådne Elde tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 98th minute there was a penalty for Tjørndalen FF. Torstein Slettebø stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Ådne Elde. 2-1. Ådnavik's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
