David Aardal made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Torbjørn Trana sent off a good shot on target. Torbjørn Trana could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 38th minute of the match, but David Aardal made a huge save. If Jon-Inge Waaler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Livoll's Tord Aarvik got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Torstein Stang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Søren Sjøli was the one to do the kick off. If Jon-Inge Waaler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jon-Inge Waaler's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Georg Fremstad read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. The supporters of Sellæg booed when Livoll was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Torstein Stang didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jon-Inge Waaler fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Georg Fremstad having to interfere. Jon-Inge Waaler's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Georg Fremstad skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 67th minute of the game, Tarjei Olberg landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. After 67 minutes, Kristian Skjæveland mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sellæg and the Livoll players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Sellæg getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Kristian Skjæveland hit a great ball. David Aardal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Søren Sjøli, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Torbjørn Trana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Aardal having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Torbjørn Trana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sellæg's supporters rose to their feet, but Torbjørn Trana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. David Aardal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Søren Sjøli struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. David Aardal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sellæg. When Tord Aarvik fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Livoll's protests and gave Tord Aarvik a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Livoll got a freekick which was hit by Tord Aarvik. Søren Sjøli hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. David Aardal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Søren Sjøli in the 97th minute of play.
