The corner led Lilleenget FF's Daniel Roen to fire away a dangerous shot which Jan-Arne Haraldsen despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Rikard Skauge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Frank Bøen got free with John Krogsrud in the 34th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 36 minutes, Adam Mathisen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hammervika IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Adam Mathisen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hammervika IF's Frank Bøen got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Adam Mathisen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without John Krogsrud having to interfere. In the 46th minute, Frank Bøen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hammervika IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Rikard Skauge made the kick off in the second half. Frank Bøen might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over John Krogsrud. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Bøen ran back to his position shaking his head. John Krogsrud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Mathisen in the 73rd minute of the match. When Casper Granlund came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Lilleenget FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Casper Granlund couldn't finish the play. Lilleenget FF's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
