Jon-Inge Bjørkhaug hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. A collision led to Veum BF getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Alexander Eidsheim hit a great ball. After having played for 8 minutes, Hans-Erik Kinn managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tromsdal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hans-Erik Kinn was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Tromsdal's Morten Martinsen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Richard Kleppa narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ask Slinning in the 13th minute of play forced Tromsdal's goalkeeper Christian Engvik to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Tromsdal getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Johannes Raknes hit a great ball. Richard Kleppa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon-Inge Bjørkhaug, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. A hard shot by Oddbjørn Erland from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Christian Engvik's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ask Slinning in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Engvik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mathias Melheim struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Richard Kleppa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tromsdal. After a rather tough play, Veum BF's Tor Sæverud got a free kick in the 31st minute. In the 32nd minute, Johannes Raknes sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Veum BF's Richard Kleppa didn't even have to move. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jon-Inge Bjørkhaug in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Richard Kleppa saved Veum BF from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mathias Melheim in the 37th minute of play forced Veum BF's goalkeeper Richard Kleppa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Veum BF's goalkeeper Richard Kleppa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christian Engvik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Runar Grimstad in the 41st minute. Runar Grimstad struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Christian Engvik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Veum BF. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When Morten Martinsen fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tromsdal's protests and gave Morten Martinsen a yellow card for diving instead. Runar Grimstad struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Christian Engvik didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Veum BF. In the 61st minute, Jimmy Thune got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the game, Tor Sæverud was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Veum BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tromsdal the free kick. Morten Martinsens short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Richard Kleppa to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Tromsdal getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Johannes Raknes hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Runar Grimstad in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christian Engvik prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Morten Martinsen's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 79thth minute, Richard Kleppa skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Steffen Ballestad during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Steffen Ballestad hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute Runar Grimstad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christian Engvik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the game, Veum BF's Runar Grimstad nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Christian Engvik made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 87th minute, Jimmy Thune hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Richard Kleppa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Melheim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Tromsdal booed when Veum BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tor Sæverud didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Mathias Melheim came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Tromsdal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathias Melheim couldn't finish the play.
