In the 11th minute, Bjørnar Kvamsdal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Klette BF defense, Georg Sundet kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Svein Grøneng. The Klette BF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Svein Grøneng should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Georg Sundet got free with Svein Grøneng in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Vardøy BK's Bjørnar Kvamsdal in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 36th match minute, Klette BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunnar Veland to maneuver through the defense. Bjørnar Kvamsdal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svein Grøneng having to interfere. Dan Straume sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bjørnar Kvamsdal to make the kick off. Svein Grøneng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bjørnar Kvamsdal in the 52nd minute of play. Georg Sundet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Svein Grøneng having to interfere. Jeppe Lundgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theodor Hernes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 71 minutes into the match, Klette BF's goal looked a bit too open when August Leikanger came free, but Svein Grøneng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Klette BF's zone, Georg Sundet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Svein Grøneng came out of the goal and Georg Sundet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 76th minute, Bjørnar Kvamsdal ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Svein Grøneng was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georg Sundet in the 84th minute of play forced Klette BF's goalkeeper Svein Grøneng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Klette BF's Dan Straume got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Svein Grøneng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bjørnar Kvamsdal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Georg Sundet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Vardøy BK had won after a very even match.
