Alan Strømsvåg showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertel Karlsrud in the 7th minute of play forced Sindsen BK's goalkeeper Jan-Frode Riis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bertel Karlsrud struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Jan-Frode Riis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Straumnes BF. Jan-Frode Riis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Martin Kaasa, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Straumnes BF's goal looked a bit too open when Sigurd Grøtterud came free, but Inge Karlson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sigurd Grøtterud came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Sindsen BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sigurd Grøtterud couldn't finish the play. Bertel Karlsrud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan-Frode Riis having to interfere. 20 minutes into the match, Aleksander Granberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Inge Karlson. Straumnes BF's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Aleksander Granberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Sigurd Grøtterud charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sigurd Grøtterud the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 29 played minutes Sindsen BK got a freekick which was hit by Sigurd Grøtterud. When Straumnes BF's Martin Kaasa in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sindsen BK's goalie prevented a goal. In the 36th minute, Bertel Karlsrud ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jan-Frode Riis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. In the 43rd minute Sindsen BK were awarded a corner. Alfred Bjørsvik went to the cornerflag to take it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sigurd Grøtterud in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Inge Karlson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dan Moseid charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dan Moseid the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sigurd Grøtterud to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Sindsen BK booed when Straumnes BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Simen Axelsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Inge Karlson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sigurd Grøtterud in the 54th minute of the match. Inge Karlson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sigurd Grøtterud went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. The supporters of Sindsen BK booed when Straumnes BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Moseid didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 67 minutes, Alan Strømsvåg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sindsen BK and the Straumnes BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 68 minutes, Bertel Karlsrud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Straumnes BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bertel Karlsrud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Martin Kaasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 81st match minute, Straumnes BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dan Moseid to maneuver through the defense. Straumnes BF's Inge Karlson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigurd Grøtterud in the 84th minute of play.
