Hans Fagermo made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Bertel Karlsrud sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 15 minutes, Martin Kaasa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Straumnes BF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Martin Kaasa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 17th minute, Martin Kaasa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hans Fagermo. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 20th match minute, Jerstad was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilhelm Negård to maneuver through the defense. Asgeir Mjøs took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 21st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hans Fagermo. Jerstad's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Lasse Klæboe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inge Karlson having to interfere. After 26 played minutes Jerstad got a freekick which was hit by Kristian Lindseth. 28 minutes into the match, Bertel Karlsrud notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Jerstad's Hans Fagermo. Hans Fagermo was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Inge Karlson came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Jerstad's Lasse Klæboe. But to his dismay, Lasse Klæboe quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Hans Fagermo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bertel Karlsrud in the 36th minute. 45 minutes into the match, Jerstad's goal looked a bit too open when Martin Kaasa came free, but Hans Fagermo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Karl Fjell to strike the kick off in the second half. Bertel Karlsrud sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 60 minutes of play, Jerstad's Lasse Klæboe made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Inge Karlson was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Straumnes BF booed when Jerstad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lasse Klæboe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Kaasa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Hans Fagermo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Straumnes BF's Inge Karlson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Karl Fjell in the 71st minute of play. Inge Karlson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karl Fjell in the 74th minute of the match. When Martin Kaasa came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Straumnes BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Kaasa couldn't finish the play. Jim Helmersen kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Bertel Karlsrud fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hans Fagermo having to interfere. Karl Fjell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Inge Karlson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match was over Jerstad could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Straumnes BF throughout the match.
