The referee showed Martin Remøy the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Martin Remøy hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Lennart Frøyen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Martin Kaasa in the 6th minute of play. Inge Bergman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Inge Karlson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jørgen Os during the 18th minute. Nappen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bertel Karlsrud was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Inge Bergman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Straumnes BF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
