Tor Roos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Casper Hornnes in the 35th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Vasdal defense, Johannes Ågotnes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tor Roos. The Vasdal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tor Roos should have stopped the shot. If Ørjan Sundby had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. Brunstad IF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Torjus Strømsnes ran over to the corner to take the kick. The Vasdal players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Brunstad IF were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mikael Drange to make the kick off. Casper Hornnes struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Tor Roos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Brunstad IF. Tor Roos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olaf Heggheim, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 96 minutes, Ørjan Sundby managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasdal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ørjan Sundby was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 97 minutes into the match, Brunstad IF's goal looked a bit too open when Mikael Drange came free, but Oscar Norum reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
