The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stian Sønsterud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurits Rostad in the 3rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Hvamsal's zone, Asle Sandnes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stian Sønsterud came out of the goal and Asle Sandnes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kristen Kjølstad might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aleksander Hillestad. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kristen Kjølstad ran back to his position shaking his head. Stian Sønsterud was out of position in the 18 minute of play, and Laurits Rostad capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Laurits Rostad really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Laurits Rostad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Johannes Nordland hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Christoffer Soma shot from long distance in the 27th minute, but Stian Sønsterud was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Laurits Rostad blasted a shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stian Sønsterud having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Åsane BF's Benjamin Sandum got a free kick in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Asle Tysnes in the 39th minute of play forced Åsane BF's goalkeeper Aleksander Hillestad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Tarjei Amundsen fell near the penalty area in the 42nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Åsane BF's protests and gave Tarjei Amundsen a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Hvamsal booed when Åsane BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tarjei Amundsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Asle Tysnes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Stian Sønsterud showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Laurits Rostad in the 51st minute of the match. In the 55th minute, Johannes Nordland got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Laurits Rostad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åsane BF's supporters rose to their feet, but Laurits Rostad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stian Sønsterud breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Johannes Nordland during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Johannes Nordland kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Laurits Rostad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stian Sønsterud having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurits Rostad in the 82nd minute of play forced Hvamsal's goalkeeper Stian Sønsterud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 91st minute, Steffen Brække made a precise shot to the right of Stian Sønsterud. Hvamsal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Aleksander Hillestad showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Asle Tysnes, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Åsane BF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
