Morten Eike fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Vikane having to interfere. If Tore Wollan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Morten Eike came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Thornæs BF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Morten Eike couldn't finish the play. In the 22ndth minute of the game Tore Wollan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Smørklepp's Leonard Vikane was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Thornæs BF's Nicholas Framnes got a free kick in the 29th minute. If Morten Eike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Morten Eike took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leonard Vikane. Leonard Vikane dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After the first half Thornæs BF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dag Hansen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Nicholas Framnes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Thornæs BF and the Smørklepp players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 52nd match minute, Thornæs BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicholas Framnes to maneuver through the defense. Alan Mathiesen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tore Wollan came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Thornæs BF fans jumped to their feet. Espen Willassen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Smørklepp. Espen Willassen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dag Hansen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Øivind Berre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Leonard Vikane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Casper Haukedal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Thornæs BF's goal looked a bit too open when Dag Hansen came free, but Espen Willassen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thornæs BF's Espen Willassen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dag Hansen in the 78th minute of play. Thornæs BF's Morten Eike got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 89 minutes into the match, Alan Mathiesen notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Thornæs BF's Espen Willassen. Espen Willassen was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Despite being the better team, Thornæs BF failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
