In the 17th minute, Daniel Tveter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Håvard Gunnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Johannes Tronrud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Lasse Myrseth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yngvar Hågensen in the 22nd minute of play forced Atnosen's goalkeeper Tommy Stenstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lasse Myrseth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Atnosen's Halvor Hoff got a free kick in the 24th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yngvar Hågensen in the 26th minute of play forced Atnosen's goalkeeper Tommy Stenstad to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tommy Stenstad stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Christian Vestad's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Valberg BF's goalkeeper Johannes Tronrud had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Tveter. Daniel Tveter might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Johannes Tronrud. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Tveter ran back to his position shaking his head. When Atnosen's Håvard Gunnes in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Valberg BF's goalie prevented a goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Tveter got free with Johannes Tronrud in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Tveter blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Johannes Tronrud having to make a save. In the 45th minute Håvard Gunnes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johannes Tronrud saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 48 minutes into the match, Tom Bruheim had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Stenstad. Atnosen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tom Bruheim was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After the first half Valberg BF were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Håvard Gunnes to strike the kick off in the second half. Johannes Tronrud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Håvard Gunnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Valberg BF getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Georg Holmstrøm hit a great ball. 58 minutes in the game, Håvard Gunnes dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Daniel Tveter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Martin Holmen charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Martin Holmen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 played minutes Atnosen got a freekick which was hit by Martin Holmen. Lasse Myrseth who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Tommy Stenstad when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atnosen's goalkeeper Tommy Stenstad, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Håvard Gunnes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Johannes Tronrud tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 74 minutes into the match, Valberg BF's Yngvar Hågensen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tommy Stenstad narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The supporters of Atnosen booed when Valberg BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Vestad didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johannes Tronrud didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Håvard Gunnes went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Tommy Stenstad showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yngvar Hågensen in the 89th minute of the match. Yngvar Hågensen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
