Kristian Øverland hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. A hard shot by Jan-Ivar Furre from long distance, 4 minutes into the match, got Kristian Kaasa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thorbjørn Folgerø in the 6th minute of play forced Oppegård's goalkeeper Kristian Kaasa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Flåt's Thorbjørn Folgerø got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Stian Engstrøm fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oppegård's protests and gave Stian Engstrøm a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Oppegård's Stian Engstrøm got a free kick in the 8th minute. 27 minutes into the game, Hugo Sandø was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Oppegård's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flåt the free kick. The supporters of Flåt booed when Oppegård was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Sandø didn't get a good kick on the ball. Asmund Røkke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thorbjørn Folgerø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Kristian Kaasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Thorbjørn Folgerø managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flåt's supporters rose to their feet, but Thorbjørn Folgerø was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kristian Kaasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lukas Dahle in the 40th minute of play forced Flåt's goalkeeper Cornelius Nesland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lukas Dahle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cornelius Nesland having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Thorbjørn Folgerø made a kick off. Cornelius Nesland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Asmund Røkke in the 53rd minute of the match. If Asmund Røkke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 60th minute Asmund Røkke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornelius Nesland saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thorbjørn Folgerø received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Kristian Kaasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Stian Engstrøm was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 64 minutes had been played. Lukas Dahle could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Cornelius Nesland made a huge save. In the 76th minute Thorbjørn Folgerø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristian Kaasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
