Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Christoffer Tønsberg made the kick off and thus started the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Bjørn Stadheim during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Leikanger booed when Skotnes IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bjørn Stadheim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leikanger's Carl-Rune Sandum got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 13 minutes into the match, Skotnes IF's goal looked a bit too open when Carl-Rune Sandum came free, but Hans-Erik Evjen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Skotnes IF getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Jøran Ringvold hit a great ball. After having played for 16 minutes, Fred Styve managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Leikanger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Styve was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 22nd minute, Carl-Rune Sandum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the Skotnes IF defense, Fred Styve kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hans-Erik Evjen. The Skotnes IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hans-Erik Evjen should have stopped the shot. Jøran Skjelstad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Revheim having to interfere. Carl-Rune Sandum might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hans-Erik Evjen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carl-Rune Sandum ran back to his position shaking his head. Fred Styve recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Markus Revheim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christoffer Tønsberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Fred Styve received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Hans-Erik Evjen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Fred Styve to strike the kick off in the second half. Christoffer Tønsberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Markus Revheim having to interfere. If Fred Styve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hans-Erik Evjen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fred Styve, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fred Styve sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 69 minutes into the match, Leikanger's goal looked a bit too open when Christoffer Tønsberg came free, but Markus Revheim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Leikanger's Carl-Rune Sandum sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hans-Erik Evjen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 78th match minute, Leikanger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Theodor Kittilsen to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Leikanger's Gabriel Hervik got a free kick in the 83rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Leikanger's zone, Jøran Skjelstad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Markus Revheim came out of the goal and Jøran Skjelstad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hans-Erik Evjen didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Casper Joakimsen went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The Leikanger supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Leikanger would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
