Mo's Markus Martinsen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Mo from getting a goal against them. Erik Kolseth might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Markus Martinsen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erik Kolseth ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Volla BF booed when Mo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastian By didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 16th minute, Aslak Lindhjem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erik Kolseth who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Markus Martinsen when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Aksel Ramsøy kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Martin Tjessem made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ingar Skjæret in the 26th minute of play. Ingar Skjæret fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Martin Tjessem having to interfere. Tor-Ivar Wibe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 35 minutes into the match, Volla BF's goal looked a bit too open when Tor-Ivar Wibe came free, but Martin Tjessem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 41 played minutes Mo got a freekick which was hit by Mikkel Nyborg. When Volla BF's Erik Kolseth in the 43rd minute got a chance for a shot 43rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mo's goalie prevented a goal. After 45 minutes, Mikkel Nyborg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mo and the Volla BF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mikkel Nyborg kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Volla BF's Aksel Ramsøy couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 46th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Mo. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Tor-Ivar Wibe got free with Martin Tjessem in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Markus Martinsen took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Kolseth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Mo defense, Erik Kolseth kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Markus Martinsen. The Mo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Markus Martinsen should have stopped the shot. If Konrad Åsen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Markus Martinsen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erik Kolseth, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Tor-Ivar Wibe had several of the Volla BF's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 70 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Martin Tjessem as he didn't even see the shot coming. Markus Martinsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Kolseth in the 75th minute of play. Svend Polden charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Svend Polden the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Svend Polden kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Erik Kolseth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fredrik Slettum charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fredrik Slettum the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Mo's Fredrik Slettum got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 84th minute, Svend Polden hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mo's Markus Martinsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Konrad Åsen in the 86th minute of play. Konrad Åsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 94th minute, Mads Berg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
