Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Rune Melhus started the match with the kick off. Lerrisfjord's Sverre Stangeland was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 5th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Melhus in the 8th minute of play forced Lerrisfjord's goalkeeper Geir-Inge Fleischer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Sverre Stangeland's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kenneth Brenne was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Sverre Stangeland recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geir-Inge Fleischer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rune Melhus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Frank Serigstad got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 32 minutes into the game, one of Marienborg:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Sverre Stangeland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Frank Serigstad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The wind increased when Sverre Stangeland made the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sverre Stangeland in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kenneth Brenne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 61stth minute of the game Ulf-Hendrik Bergerud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marienborg's Kenneth Brenne was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 63 minutes into the match, Marienborg's goal looked a bit too open when Sverre Stangeland came free, but Kenneth Brenne reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 64th minute, Geir-Inge Bergerud hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lerrisfjord's Geir-Inge Fleischer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Lerrisfjord from getting a goal against them. Kenneth Haave lost his temper 80 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 80th minute of the game. One of Lerrisfjord:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Marienborg:s goal. Frank Serigstad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geir-Inge Fleischer having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geir-Inge Bergerud in the 89th minute of play forced Lerrisfjord's goalkeeper Geir-Inge Fleischer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulf-Hendrik Bergerud received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Kenneth Brenne tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 95 minutes, Ulf-Hendrik Bergerud managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lerrisfjord's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulf-Hendrik Bergerud was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dagfinn Abrahamsen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Frank Serigstad came up free with the goalie in the 100th minute, the Marienborg fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Frank Serigstad couldn't finish the play.
