The referee ignored Seterlandet IF's protests and gave Torjus Bjørdal a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Molvik in the 9th minute of play forced Seterlandet IF's goalkeeper Christer Lilleberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Seterlandet IF's Sigurd Granås got a free kick in the 9th minute. The supporters of Seljord booed when Seterlandet IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gard Borch didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sjur Owren in the 13thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Christer Lilleberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Kåre Schjetne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Christian Eskeland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kåre Schjetne, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gard Borch in the 25th minute of play forced Seljord's goalkeeper Christian Eskeland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gard Borch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christian Eskeland having to interfere. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Steffen Landsverk stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Seljord's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Kåre Schjetne scored to the left of an out of position Christian Eskeland, making the score, 0-1. After having played for 58 minutes, Gard Borch managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Seterlandet IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gard Borch was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 64 minutes into the match, Seterlandet IF's goal looked a bit too open when Steffen Landsverk came free, but Christer Lilleberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christer Lilleberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sjur Owren in the 65th minute of the match. Jan-Kenneth Gåsland hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute Steffen Landsverk shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Christer Lilleberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Sjur Owren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
