Ullenhaug's Stian Aarø got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Broem BK's zone, Stian Aarø stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andreas Horvei came out of the goal and Stian Aarø tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stian Aarø sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gard Dang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes in the game, Jarle Valde fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Andreas Horvei having to interfere. Inge Richardsen's late challenge caught a Ullenhaug's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inge Richardsen helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Broem BK getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Inge Richardsen hit a great ball. Andreas Horvei was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Eirik Grini. Jarle Valde received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Andreas Horvei tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ole-Petter Herfindal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gard Dang, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Peder Fjeldheim fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ole-Petter Herfindal having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Peder Fjeldheim was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jarle Valde in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andreas Horvei saved Broem BK from getting behind. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Jarle Valde sped through Broem BK's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Andreas Horvei. Peder Fjeldheim's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ole-Petter Herfindal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 59th minute of play. Andreas Horvei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stian Aarø, who was totally free with the ball in the 62nd minute. Gard Dang hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute Peder Fjeldheim shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ole-Petter Herfindal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 69 minutes, Stian Aarø managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ullenhaug's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stian Aarø was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience was convinced that Stian Aarø's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Andreas Horvei was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Gard Dang struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Ole-Petter Herfindal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Broem BK. In the 83rd minute, Peder Fjeldheim reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ole-Petter Herfindal. The goal made the score 1-1. In the 89th minute Stian Aarø shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andreas Horvei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
