Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when William Hilstad kicked off to start the match. If Gjermund Aakvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Børrud's goalkeeper Tor-Magnus Bjørkås, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 10 minutes into the game, Børrud's William Hilstad nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Georg Nyseth made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. The attack was good, but when Roy Diesen in the 16th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. William Hilstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Georg Nyseth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th match minute, Vennesla BF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ståle Kallevik to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kai Tysse during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Børrud booed when Vennesla BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kai Tysse didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jan-Frode Presthus, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Børrud's Tor-Magnus Bjørkås played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gjermund Aakvik in the 38th minute of play. Georg Nyseth made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Arnstein Bredesen sent off a good shot on target. Georg Nyseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from William Hilstad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Roy Diesen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Tor-Magnus Bjørkås took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gjermund Aakvik, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 53 minutes into the game, Trond Nielsen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vennesla BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Børrud the free kick. The supporters of Børrud booed when Vennesla BF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trond Nielsen didn't get a good kick on the ball. William Hilstad received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Georg Nyseth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Børrud's Tor-Magnus Bjørkås got control of the ball when Gjermund Aakvik tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Arnstein Bredesen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Børrud's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnstein Bredesen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Georg Nyseth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Vennesla BF's zone, Arnstein Bredesen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Georg Nyseth came out of the goal and Arnstein Bredesen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnstein Bredesen in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Georg Nyseth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Børrud's zone, Gjermund Aakvik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tor-Magnus Bjørkås came out of the goal and Gjermund Aakvik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Børrud's Julius Wiggen got a free kick in the 78th minute. If Gjermund Aakvik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 87th minute, William Hilstad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Tor-Magnus Bjørkås showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gjermund Aakvik in the 89th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arnstein Bredesen in the 90th minute of play forced Vennesla BF's goalkeeper Georg Nyseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
