With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albert Øverbø prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sturle Foss in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Albert Øverbø saved Gjæsvær BK from getting behind. In the 11thth minute of the game Sturle Foss who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gjæsvær BK's Albert Øverbø was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 13th minute, Geir Alnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jon-Erik Leirdal kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Albert Øverbø stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sturle Foss's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. Runar Elvebakk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Albert Øverbø tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Overbygden FF's Sturle Foss in the 34th minute got a chance for a shot 34th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Gjæsvær BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Thorbjørn Valstad was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. In the 55th minute, Overbygden FF's Kevin Tveiten seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Kevin Tveiten the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Overbygden FF protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Kevin Tveiten had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The supporters of Gjæsvær BK booed when Overbygden FF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Tveiten didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 56th minute of the match Ole Meling shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Niklas Aanes showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 59th minute, Vebjørn Nedrebø left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gjæsvær BK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. After a rather tough play, Overbygden FF's Joakim Ryeng got a free kick in the 68th minute. Joakim Ryeng charged in rather forcefully in the 71st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joakim Ryeng the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Thorbjørn Valstad got free with Albert Øverbø in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alexander Hansen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Albert Øverbø having to interfere.
