Beniamin Gregorczyk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vebjørn Rognan in the 14th minute of play. Finn-Christian Lilleås showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alex Leithe, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. In the 21st minute, Arsenal FC's Gjøran Idsø seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Gjøran Idsø the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Arsenal FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Gjøran Idsø had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 21 minutes into the game, one of Arsenal FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Beniamin Gregorczyk, was totally fooled by Smolan's Tim Schou, who 24 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 29 minutes into the match, Arsenal FC's goal looked a bit too open when Christoffer Høiberg came free, but Beniamin Gregorczyk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vebjørn Rognan in the 32nd minute of play forced Arsenal FC's goalkeeper Beniamin Gregorczyk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Vebjørn Rognan to strike the kick off in the second half. 50 minutes into the game, Øyvind Steine was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arsenal FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Smolan the free kick. The supporters of Smolan booed when Arsenal FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Øyvind Steine didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 53 minutes, Kjetil Leivestad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Arsenal FC and the Smolan players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Arsenal FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Kjetil Leivestad hit a great ball. Beniamin Gregorczyk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Christoffer Høiberg in the 54th minute of the match. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the match, Christoffer Høiberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Beniamin Gregorczyk. Arsenal FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Christoffer Høiberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. If Kent-Are Askeland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 84 minutes into the game, Thomas Bruun was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Smolan's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Arsenal FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Smolan's Thomas Bruun got a free kick in the 86th minute. Arsenal FC's Beniamin Gregorczyk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christoffer Høiberg in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Vebjørn Rognan notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of Arsenal FC's Beniamin Gregorczyk. Beniamin Gregorczyk was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Smolan's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
