Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Zalmplaat HC's Philip Hovenkamp started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Danny Riemers sent away a hard shot on goal in the 3rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 5 minutes into the match, Zalmplaat HC's goalkeeper Willem Zwaanswijk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ruud Teunisse. Tervoorst FC's Ruud Teunisse got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Huib Baker in the 8th minute of play forced Zalmplaat HC's goalkeeper Willem Zwaanswijk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ruud Teunisse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Willem Zwaanswijk having to interfere. Philip Hovenkamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Huib Baker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Zalmplaat HC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 21st minute, when Huib Baker scored to the left of an out of position Willem Zwaanswijk, making the score, 1-0. In the 27thth minute of the game Arie Warringa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tervoorst FC's Tonnie Kramer was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philip Hovenkamp in the 44th minute of play forced Tervoorst FC's goalkeeper Tonnie Kramer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Huib Baker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 50 minutes into the match, Tervoorst FC's Jack Schalkwijk broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Tonnie Kramer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Denny Kaptein, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. In the 55th minute, Tervoorst FC's Danny Riemers seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Danny Riemers the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Tervoorst FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Danny Riemers had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 54 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tervoorst FC! Tonnie Kramer made an important save on a dangerous shot by Arie Warringa in the 63rd minute. After a rather tough play, Tervoorst FC's Jeffrey Doll got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The audience was convinced that Philip Hovenkamp's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Tonnie Kramer was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Ruud Teunisse struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Willem Zwaanswijk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tervoorst FC. The supporters of Tervoorst FC booed when Zalmplaat HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brain Staal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tonnie Kramer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Philip Hovenkamp in the 78th minute of play. Jeffrey Doll kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. After 91 played minutes Tervoorst FC got a freekick which was hit by Huib Baker. With a little luck, Tervoorst FC's Tonnie Kramer got control of the ball when Arie Warringa tried to sneak it across the goal line.
