Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ivo Elders got the match started through his kick off. In the 7th minute, Ivo Elders made a precise shot to the right of Rogier van Zwieten. Stryp FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Rogier van Zwieten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivo Elders, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. 15 minutes into the match, Spanga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Emiel Buckinx came free, but Lex Wikenburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stryp FC's Mark Ruiter got a free kick in the 20th minute. Ivo Elders fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogier van Zwieten having to interfere. If Edward Sloothaak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 23 minutes, Emiel Buckinx mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Stryp FC and the Spanga FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Stryp FC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Emiel Buckinx hit a great ball. Rogier van Zwieten came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Spanga FC's Ivo Elders. But to his dismay, Ivo Elders quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ivo Elders in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rogier van Zwieten prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ivo Elders received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Rogier van Zwieten tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lex Wikenburg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jan Wilson in the 40th minute.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emiel Buckinx stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eddy Kroeze during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Spanga FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Eddy Kroeze hit a great ball. 65 minutes into the match, Spanga FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jan Wilson came free, but Lex Wikenburg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edward Sloothaak could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 75th minute of the match, but Rogier van Zwieten made a huge save. If Jan Wilson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute of the match Harry de Zwaan shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Lex Wikenburg showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Jan Wilson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lex Wikenburg having to interfere.
