Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rik de Visser kicked off to start the match. After recieving a nice pass, Aegum's Rolf Cramer tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dick Roswinkel during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Aegum booed when Klei was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dick Roswinkel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 12 minutes of play Klei's Jacobus Drent was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Klei getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Jacobus Drent hit a great ball. 14 minutes into the match, Klei's goal looked a bit too open when Emile Apotheker came free, but Job Decheiver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ton Eiting's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Job Decheiver read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Ton Eiting fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Job Decheiver having to interfere. Emile Apotheker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute, Dick Roswinkel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ton Eiting fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Job Decheiver having to interfere. A collision led to Klei getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Rik de Visser hit a great ball. After 34 played minutes Klei got a freekick which was hit by Dick Roswinkel. After 36 minutes, Emile Apotheker made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Klei's Job Decheiver tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. If Ton Eiting had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 43rd minute, Ton Eiting ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Job Decheiver was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Remond Gierman made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Henk Tigelaar sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Aegum were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After a rather tough play, Klei's Ab Akkerboom got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Wim Speelman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Job Decheiver having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emile Apotheker in the 59th minute of play forced Klei's goalkeeper Job Decheiver to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 61 played minutes Aegum got a freekick which was hit by Stef Hindriks. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Ton Eiting got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Dick Roswinkel struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Remond Gierman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Klei. Klei's Henk Tigelaar got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Philip Berends had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Remond Gierman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henk Tigelaar in the 71st minute of the match. In the 72nd minute, Dick Roswinkel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Henk Tigelaar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 78 in the game by Ton Eiting from a close distance when the talented Job Decheiver managed to make a qualified save. Klei's players were relieved. Emile Apotheker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Job Decheiver tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Emile Apotheker sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Job Decheiver made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Ton Eiting sent off a good shot on target. Henk Tigelaar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remond Gierman having to interfere. The Aegum supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Aegum would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
