If Melvin Molnar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A hard shot 35 in the game by Melvin Molnar from a close distance when the talented Jouke Luirink managed to make a qualified save. Moerslag HC's players were relieved. Demy Aukes's late challenge caught a Kathagen HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The long shot by Harmen Nedergaard in the 52nd minute really tested Ger Mulders's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. If Leon van Rhijn had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kathagen HC's Melvin Molnar got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Melvin Molnar came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Kathagen HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Melvin Molnar couldn't finish the play. Melvin Molnar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geert Bas was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 76 minutes into the match. After 75 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Moerslag HC! If Henk Klok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Kathagen HC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Sjors Meppelink hit a great ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Henk Klok managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Moerslag HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henk Klok was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After having played for 90 minutes, Demy Aukes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jouke Luirink was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kathagen HC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
