The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jordy Bogarde fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelle Perk having to interfere. Stefano van der Meijde didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Daan van Rhijn went, in the 10th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Stefano van der Meijde stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ruud Vrieze's shot from short distance in the 15th minute. A hard shot 21 in the game by Daan van Rhijn from a close distance when the talented Stefano van der Meijde managed to make a qualified save. Hallweide's players were relieved. Ate Ostermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jelle Perk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Oeijenbraak's zone, Jordy Bogarde stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jelle Perk came out of the goal and Jordy Bogarde tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daan van Rhijn could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Stefano van der Meijde made a huge save. Hallweide's Stefano van der Meijde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruud Vrieze in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Jan Rein van Dartel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hallweide's Stefano van der Meijde proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Hallweide from getting a goal against them. Oeijenbraak's Jelle Perk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jacques Pragt in the 34th minute of play. Jan Rein van Dartel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jelle Perk having to interfere. Jordy Bogarde sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruud Vrieze stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 63 minutes into the match, Hallweide's goal looked a bit too open when Jonathan Wijker came free, but Stefano van der Meijde reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Daan van Rhijn fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stefano van der Meijde having to interfere. Jordy Bogarde had several of the Oeijenbraak's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 67 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Jelle Perk as he didn't even see the shot coming. Jelle Perk was out of position in the 71 minute of play, and Jordy Bogarde capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jordy Bogarde really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. Stefano van der Meijde took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daan van Rhijn, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Oeijenbraak's Jelle Perk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordy Bogarde in the 84th minute of play. Oeijenbraak's Dirk Piening got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Hallweide walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
