Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Meerssen's Roger Sluis started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 8 minutes of play, Meerssen's Roger Sluis made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lucien Post was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 11 played minutes Agodorp FC got a freekick which was hit by Koos Appel. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jim de Vries got free with Cees Colen in the 14th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute the ball was on its way in behind Agodorp FC's goalkeeper Lucien Post, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 18 minutes, Jim de Vries managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Agodorp FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jim de Vries was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Aerssen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cees Colen having to interfere. Roger Sluis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucien Post having to interfere. After having played for 25 minutes, Roger Sluis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Meerssen's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roger Sluis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th match minute, Meerssen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Johan de Jong to maneuver through the defense. In the 40thth minute of the game David Aerssen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Meerssen's Cees Colen was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jim de Vries might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cees Colen. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jim de Vries ran back to his position shaking his head.

The wind increased when David Aerssen made the kick off in the second half. David Aerssen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cees Colen having to interfere. After some careless play in the Meerssen defense, David Aerssen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cees Colen. The Meerssen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cees Colen should have stopped the shot. Cees Colen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jim de Vries in the 68th minute of the match. If David Aerssen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 73rd minute, Richard Schaeffer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jim de Vries recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jim de Vries struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Cees Colen didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Agodorp FC. When David Aerssen came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Agodorp FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Aerssen couldn't finish the play. Roger Sluis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucien Post having to interfere. Richard Schaeffer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Lucien Post tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 96th minute, Koos Appel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
