In the 20th minute, Henny Jongsma hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Nathan Schenning came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Hantumhuizen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nathan Schenning couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven Compaan during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th match minute, Maarheze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Compaan to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute, Nathan Schenning reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mark Deiman. The goal made the score 1-0. In the 38th minute Donny Ronde suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Arne Oost charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arne Oost the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Hantumhuizen FC booed when Maarheze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arne Oost didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 40th minute, Gerrit van Wonderen sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Maarheze's Mark Deiman didn't even have to move. Mark Deiman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nathan Schenning in the 42nd minute of play. Mark Deiman was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Nathan Schenning capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Nathan Schenning really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0.

Mathieu Pragt kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd of the match, Donald Slot tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Henry Hoeksma got in the way and made a wonderful save. The supporters of Hantumhuizen FC booed when Maarheze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marick Roswinkel didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 62 played minutes, Hantumhuizen FC's Martijn Bulder shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mark Deiman came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hantumhuizen FC reached it. Nathan Schenning received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Mark Deiman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 66 minutes of play Hantumhuizen FC's Mathieu Pragt was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Hantumhuizen FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Mathieu Pragt hit a great ball. In the 68th minute, one of Hantumhuizen FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hantumhuizen FC. Rob Naaijer walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After a defensive mix-up in Hantumhuizen FC's zone, Maurits van der Aa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Henry Hoeksma came out of the goal and Maurits van der Aa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Maurits van der Aa's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Henry Hoeksma firmly grabbed it by the left post. Donald Slot hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Hantumhuizen FC's Henry Hoeksma proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Hantumhuizen FC from getting a goal against them. A hard shot 87 in the game by Maurits van der Aa from a close distance when the talented Henry Hoeksma managed to make a qualified save. Hantumhuizen FC's players were relieved. If Maurits van der Aa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Donald Slot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 98th minute, Nathan Schenning hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Hantumhuizen FC fully deserved thier win.
