Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fabiën Bender started the match with the kick off. After some careless play in the Augstbuurt defense, Stefan Koeling kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gert Seedorf. The Augstbuurt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gert Seedorf should have stopped the shot. Niels-Jan Lubbers who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Gertjan de Putter when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Reinhard Bogaard struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Gertjan de Putter didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Augstbuurt. In the 10th minute, Augstbuurt's Reinhard Bogaard ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gertjan de Putter. Gertjan de Putter yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Fabiën Bender fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Seedorf having to interfere. After 18 minutes of play, Zandburen HC's Fabiën Bender made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gert Seedorf was left in no man's land by his defense there! Reinhard Bogaard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Niels-Jan Lubbers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Gertjan de Putter tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 29 minutes, Reinhard Bogaard managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Augstbuurt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reinhard Bogaard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Reinhard Bogaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tonnie Heida kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reinhard Bogaard in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gertjan de Putter saved Zandburen HC from getting behind. Tonnie Heida kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 48 minutes into the match, Zandburen HC's goalkeeper Gertjan de Putter had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Niels-Jan Lubbers. The Augstbuurt players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Zandburen HC were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reinhard Bogaard was the one to do the kick off. Stefan Koeling might have been able to make a better finish in the 54th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gert Seedorf. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Stefan Koeling ran back to his position shaking his head. After 60 played minutes Zandburen HC got a freekick which was hit by Wim Geraets. Fabiën Bender received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 66th minute. Gert Seedorf tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Niels-Jan Lubbers in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gertjan de Putter prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Augstbuurt's Reinhard Bogaard in the 78th minute got a chance for a shot 78th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Zandburen HC's goalie prevented a goal. Gert Seedorf took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan Hendrik Meijs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabiën Bender sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Zandburen HC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
