Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Kerkwerve FC's Tim Ronde played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Johan Teesing in the 3rd minute of play. If Izaak Wielaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frederik Schepers recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Brain Stuijt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kerkwerve FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vrieschelo the free kick. The supporters of Vrieschelo booed when Kerkwerve FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Brain Stuijt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tim Ronde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederik Schepers in the 18th minute of play. Tim Ronde made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jan Rein Busch in the 22nd minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jan Rein Busch in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tim Ronde saved Kerkwerve FC from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Izaak Wielaert in the 34th minute of play forced Vrieschelo's goalkeeper Wilfried de Jong to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Remco Geerts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilfried de Jong stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Izaak Wielaert's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Wilfried de Jong showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Izaak Wielaert, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Vrieschelo's zone, Remco Geerts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilfried de Jong came out of the goal and Remco Geerts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 46 minutes, Izaak Wielaert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kerkwerve FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Izaak Wielaert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jan Rein Busch to make the kick off. Frederik Schepers could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Tim Ronde made a huge save. In the 54th of the match, Jan Rein Busch tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Tim Ronde got in the way and made a wonderful save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jan Rein Busch got free with Tim Ronde in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Vrieschelo's zone, Remco Geerts stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilfried de Jong came out of the goal and Remco Geerts tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Izaak Wielaert had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tim Ronde made an important save on a dangerous shot by Frederik Schepers in the 79th minute. In the 81st minute Vrieschelo were awarded a corner. Jurgen van den Brink went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 82nd match minute, Kerkwerve FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Remco Geerts to maneuver through the defense. When Vrieschelo's Jan Rein Busch, in the 83rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for Vrieschelo. The Vrieschelo supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vrieschelo would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
