Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jens van der Vaart started the match with the kick off. Philip Trip sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 5thth minute of the game Jens van der Vaart who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Streukel HC's Gert Klerk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 7 minutes into the game, Mike van Harten was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Neerstraat's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Streukel HC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Neerstraat's Mike van Harten got a free kick in the 8th minute. In the 13th minute, Jens van der Vaart got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gert Klerk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens van der Vaart in the 15th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Neerstraat's Wesley Borker got a free kick in the 21st minute. When Streukel HC's Albert Zethof in the 24th minute got a chance for a shot 24th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Neerstraat's goalie prevented a goal. Gert Klerk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jens van der Vaart in the 25th minute of play. Albert Zethof recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gido Saeijs struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Bas Krijnenburg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Streukel HC. Gido Saeijs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Bas Krijnenburg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gido Saeijs's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bas Krijnenburg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. Bas Krijnenburg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albert Zethof in the 42nd minute of play. A collision led to Streukel HC getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Franck Winters hit a great ball.

After some careless play in the Neerstraat defense, Albert Zethof kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bas Krijnenburg. The Neerstraat fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bas Krijnenburg should have stopped the shot. Bas Krijnenburg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gido Saeijs, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 65 minutes into the match, Streukel HC's goalkeeper Gert Klerk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Philip Trip. In the 68th minute, Philip Trip got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Arjen de Vos charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arjen de Vos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Streukel HC's Arjen de Vos got a free kick in the 70th minute. Philip Trip's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gert Klerk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. When Arjen de Vos was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 73 minutes had been played. Philip Trip fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gert Klerk having to interfere. When Franck Winters came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Streukel HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Franck Winters couldn't finish the play. In the 84th minute Gido Saeijs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bas Krijnenburg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Streukel HC booed when Neerstraat was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wesley Borker didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gido Saeijs sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gido Saeijs fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bas Krijnenburg having to interfere. Bas Krijnenburg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franck Winters in the 92nd minute of the match. In the 94th minute, Jens van der Vaart hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gido Saeijs might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bas Krijnenburg. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gido Saeijs ran back to his position shaking his head. Neerstraat's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
