Roland Walstra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronald van Rijswijk in the 6th minute of play. In the 10th minute, Klaas Ebbinge got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Strenkhaar booed when Wiessel HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roel Boshuis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gerwin Lamberts kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Marco de Jong received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Roland Walstra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronald van Rijswijk took the ball and in the 24 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roland Walstra. Roland Walstra dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Marco de Jong fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roland Walstra having to interfere. In the 31stth minute of the game Elbert Kikkert who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Strenkhaar's Nathan Fleur was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Strenkhaar's goalkeeper Nathan Fleur, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 37th minute, Henk Zegers hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Elbert Kikkert came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Wiessel HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elbert Kikkert couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Gerwin Lamberts during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gerwin Lamberts hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Marco de Jong scored 0-2 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roland Walstra, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A collision led to Strenkhaar getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Derk Hofmeester hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 49 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Klaas Ebbinge sped through Strenkhaar's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Nathan Fleur. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Elbert Kikkert to make the kick off. Marco de Jong who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 55thth minute tested the skills of Roland Walstra when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, Wiessel HC's goalkeeper Roland Walstra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marco de Jong. Wiessel HC's Roland Walstra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald van Rijswijk in the 67th minute of play. Wiessel HC's Roland Walstra proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save Wiessel HC from getting a goal against them. 74 minutes into the match, Strenkhaar's goal looked a bit too open when Elbert Kikkert came free, but Nathan Fleur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nathan Fleur showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Heiko Pander in the 91st minute of the match. When Wiessel HC's Klaas Ebbinge in the 97th minute got a chance for a shot 97th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Strenkhaar's goalie prevented a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Strenkhaar had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
