But to his dismay, Meindert Hoogland quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

After a long run with the ball, Geert Arend Hooiveld did a trick in the 54th minute in front of Rhenooi FC's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 1-3. An impressive performance by Maatsehei's Geert Arend Hooiveld! 59 minutes into the match, Rhenooi FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniël de Boer came free, but Roland Kuis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Heiko van der Meijde in the 62nd minute of play forced Maatsehei's goalkeeper Remond Jeuring to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Heiko van der Meijde had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Meindert Hoogland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Meindert Hoogland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Remond Jeuring having to interfere. Heiko van der Meijde's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Remond Jeuring read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After 79 played minutes Maatsehei got a freekick which was hit by Geert Arend Hooiveld. Daniël de Boer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rhenooi FC's Roland Kuis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniël de Boer in the 91st minute of play. Roland Kuis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michael Hoekstra, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. 96 minutes into the game, Ferry Roorda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rhenooi FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Maatsehei the free kick. In the 96th minute, Ferry Roorda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 99 minutes Rhenooi FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Geert Arend Hooiveld who took care of the corner kick. Rhenooi FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
