Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Stefano Craandijk started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 4 minutes into the game, Winsum HC's Stefano Craandijk nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan Hendrik Swerts made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 7th minute, Hessem HC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Joeri Hilkes fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Winsum HC's Stefano Craandijk was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 7th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Hessem HC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Stefano Craandijk 14 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 3-0. Gert Jan Westra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roderick Heck in the 20th minute of play. Gert Jan Westra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tim Zilverberg's shot from short distance in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Hessem HC booed when Winsum HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donny Sluis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 24 minutes into the game, Tim Zilverberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hessem HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Winsum HC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Hessem HC's Tim Zilverberg got a free kick in the 24th minute. Gert Jan Westra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Domenik Cornelisse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 29 minutes of play, Hessem HC's Roderick Heck made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gert Jan Westra was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stefano Craandijk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jan Hendrik Swerts having to interfere. Winsum HC's Gert Jan Westra played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roderick Heck in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind Winsum HC's goalkeeper Gert Jan Westra, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gert Jan Westra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roderick Heck in the 42nd minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Tim Zilverberg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gert Jan Westra. Winsum HC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Tim Zilverberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-2. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

After 51 played minutes Winsum HC got a freekick which was hit by Herbert Brürs. If Tim Zilverberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stefano Craandijk in the 54th minute of play forced Hessem HC's goalkeeper Jan Hendrik Swerts to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wim Alberda hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Matthijs van der Struijk didn't quite understand what happened when in the 58 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. After having played for 61 minutes, Roderick Heck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hessem HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roderick Heck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jan Hendrik Swerts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Stefano Craandijk, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Hessem HC's Johan Dilling slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gert Jan Westra. That made the score 3-3 after 71 minutes of play. After 76 minutes, Wim Alberda mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hessem HC and the Winsum HC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th match minute, Hessem HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wim Alberda to maneuver through the defense. Herbert Brürs didn't quite understand what happened when in the 78 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Joeri Hilkes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan Hendrik Swerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stefano Craandijk in the 82nd minute of play. If Roderick Heck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roderick Heck during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 86th minute, Roderick Heck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 87th minute, Donny Sluis hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joeri Hilkes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Despite being the better team, Winsum HC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
