Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Schaalsum HC's Freek Oosterbaan started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hessem HC's Jan Hendrik Swerts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristof Koeling in the 3rd minute of play. Jan Hendrik Swerts came out of the goal in the 4th minute to try and stop a shot by Schaalsum HC's Kristof Koeling. But to his dismay, Kristof Koeling quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 7thth minute of the game Kristof Koeling who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Hessem HC's Jan Hendrik Swerts was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Roderick Heck had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the game, Tim Zilverberg was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hessem HC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schaalsum HC the free kick. Tim Zilverberg kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Roderick Heck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan Hendrik Swerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freek Oosterbaan in the 18th minute of the match. Roderick Heck recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jan Hendrik Swerts made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristof Koeling in the 31st minute of play. Marco Brouwer hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Schaalsum HC's Folker Reitsema got control of the ball when Tim Zilverberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rien van Loen's late challenge caught a Hessem HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rien van Loen helped the player get up and apologised. Rien van Loen kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. A collision led to Schaalsum HC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Tomas Harmsen hit a great ball. Folker Reitsema made a fantastic save in the 45th minute, when Tim Zilverberg sent off a good shot on target.

Folker Reitsema stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roderick Heck's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. If Freek Oosterbaan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jan Hendrik Swerts came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Schaalsum HC's Freek Oosterbaan. But to his dismay, Freek Oosterbaan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. 67 minutes into the game, Freek Oosterbaan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jan Hendrik Swerts. Freek Oosterbaan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. In the 74th minute, Kristof Koeling got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Domenik Cornelisse kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Jan Hendrik Swerts showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Freek Oosterbaan in the 79th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 86 minutes, Tim Zilverberg put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Folker Reitsema. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Schaalsum HC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
