Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Foudgum HC's Bert Zijden started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gert Jacobs hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. The supporters of Foudgum HC booed when Gijzel FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ronald Theuws didn't get a good kick on the ball. Foudgum HC's Marinus Rijaard got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gilbert Terpstra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bert Zijden's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. Bert Zijden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gijzel FC's Frans Oosterveld got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ferdi Deijkers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudi Koops having to interfere. If Ferdi Deijkers had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Frans Oosterveld had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Rudi Koops managed to avoid a goal in the 26thth minute, when Gijzel FC's Ferdi Deijkers fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ferdi Deijkers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Rudi Koops tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rudi Koops took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frans Oosterveld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 36 minutes into the match, Erben Adelaar notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gijzel FC's Gilbert Terpstra. Gilbert Terpstra was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Foudgum HC getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Marco van Schaik hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marinus Rijaard in the 44th minute of play forced Gijzel FC's goalkeeper Gilbert Terpstra to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 46th minute Frans Oosterveld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudi Koops saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frans Oosterveld to strike the kick off in the second half. Gilbert Terpstra made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Marinus Rijaard sent off a good shot on target. Frans Oosterveld recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frans Oosterveld struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Rudi Koops didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gijzel FC. Marinus Rijaard fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Terpstra having to interfere. Gijzel FC's Frans Oosterveld got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 75th minute of the match Gijzel FC got a corner. Foudgum HC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel van der Stoel ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Gijzel FC's Daniel van der Stoel to fire away a dangerous shot which Rudi Koops despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Marinus Rijaard hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marinus Rijaard got free with Gilbert Terpstra in the 80th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 81st minute, Ferdi Deijkers made a precise shot to the right of Rudi Koops. Foudgum HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After having played for 85 minutes, Frans Oosterveld managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gijzel FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frans Oosterveld was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rudi Koops made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ferdi Deijkers in the 86th minute of play. 88 minutes into the match, Gijzel FC's goalkeeper Gilbert Terpstra had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marinus Rijaard. Frans Oosterveld sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frans Oosterveld hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Gijzel FC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
