A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Gilze's goal looked a bit too open when Teun Wilson came free, but Theo Hulscher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Theo Hulscher made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teun Wilson in the 8th minute of play. Jan-Willem Veltman hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Teun Wilson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Hulscher having to interfere. Roel Verhoeven came out of the goal in the 13th minute to try and stop a shot by Gilze's Corné Stolte. But to his dismay, Corné Stolte quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Theo Hulscher made an important save on a dangerous shot by Serge Zalm in the 17th minute. Teun Wilson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Theo Hulscher having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Wetsens HC's goal looked a bit too open when Jordy Douwes came free, but Roel Verhoeven reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wetsens HC's Roel Verhoeven played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jordy Douwes in the 30th minute of play. Corné Stolte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roel Verhoeven having to interfere. If Jordy Douwes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roel Verhoeven took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Corné Stolte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the game, Jordy Douwes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Roel Verhoeven was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 45th minute, Peter Plagge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

Theo Hulscher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teun Wilson in the 51st minute of the match. Peter Plagge's late challenge caught a Wetsens HC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Peter Plagge helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Wetsens HC booed when Gilze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peter Plagge didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Wetsens HC's goalkeeper Roel Verhoeven, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Ernst van der Woude got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Teun Wilson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jordy Douwes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Roel Verhoeven having to interfere. Ben Derks kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. When Gilze's Corné Stolte in the 76th minute got a chance for a shot 76th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Wetsens HC's goalie prevented a goal. If Jordy Douwes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jouke Israel fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Wetsens HC's protests and gave Jouke Israel a yellow card for diving instead. Jouke Israel kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Corné Stolte managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gilze's supporters rose to their feet, but Corné Stolte was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roel Verhoeven breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roelof Appel kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 86th minute, Gilze's Jordy Douwes ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roel Verhoeven. Roel Verhoeven yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Gilze's Theo Hulscher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Roelof Appel in the 90th minute of play. If Ernst van der Woude had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilze's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
