Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Corné Stolte started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Theo Hulscher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pepijn Roewen in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Overschie HC's goal looked a bit too open when Corné Stolte came free, but Frits Eggens reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 14 minutes, Olaf Hofmeester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Overschie HC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olaf Hofmeester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 18 played minutes Overschie HC got a freekick which was hit by Otto van Boxel. Corné Stolte recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Olaf Hofmeester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Overschie HC getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Peter Stuijt hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Corné de Ridder during the 29th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 29 minutes into the game, one of Overschie HC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Frits Eggens had in the 31stth minute some difficulties stopping Adriaan Pals's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Theo Hulscher showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olaf Hofmeester, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Theo Hulscher took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Stuijt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pepijn Roewen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Theo Hulscher tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 42nd minute, Olaf Hofmeester ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Theo Hulscher was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After some careless play in the Gilze defense, Pepijn Roewen kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Theo Hulscher. The Gilze fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Theo Hulscher should have stopped the shot. After the first half Overschie HC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olaf Hofmeester to strike the kick off in the second half. Hans Post kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Jordy Douwes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frits Eggens having to interfere. 58 minutes into the match, Overschie HC's Olaf Hofmeester sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Theo Hulscher narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 58th minute, Jan-Willem Veltman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gilze's Theo Hulscher proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Gilze from getting a goal against them. Olaf Hofmeester sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pepijn Roewen in the 66thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Theo Hulscher, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Frits Eggens came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Gilze's Jordy Douwes. But to his dismay, Jordy Douwes quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 75th match minute, Gilze was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Peter Plagge to maneuver through the defense. Theo Hulscher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olaf Hofmeester in the 85th minute of the match. Jordy Douwes scored 2-2 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Frits Eggens, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 94 minutes into the match, Gilze's goal looked a bit too open when Olaf Hofmeester came free, but Theo Hulscher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 97 minutes of play, Gilze's Jordy Douwes made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Frits Eggens was left in no man's land by his defense there!
