Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Joop van Beukering made the kick off which started today's match. Deersum FC's Kurt Alberda couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 4th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Verrebest HC. After 5 played minutes Verrebest HC got a freekick which was hit by Kevin Weggemans. Geert Arend van Westerop showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joop Swart, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. Arjen Atsma was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joop van Beukering showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. In the 12th match minute, Verrebest HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver de Hoop to maneuver through the defense. Gerard Booy took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Geert Arend van Westerop. Geert Arend van Westerop dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Joop Swart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geert Arend van Westerop made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerard Booy in the 22nd minute of play. In the 27th minute, Joop van Beukering fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Arjen Atsma, passed just outside the right post. Joop van Beukering fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arjen Atsma having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Verrebest HC's zone, Gerard Booy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geert Arend van Westerop came out of the goal and Gerard Booy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joop Swart in the 39th minute of play forced Verrebest HC's goalkeeper Geert Arend van Westerop to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joop Swart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gerard Booy to strike the kick off in the second half. Geert Arend van Westerop showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerard Booy in the 53rd minute of the match. Jorn Oosterman's late challenge caught a Deersum FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jorn Oosterman helped the player get up and apologised. When the match had gone on for 57 minutes, Joop van Beukering put it in 2-1 from a short distance just to the right of Arjen Atsma. Arjen Atsma took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerald van der Werff, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Deersum FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Luuk Saeijs hit a great ball. Deersum FC's Arjen Atsma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gerald van der Werff in the 64th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joop van Beukering in the 66th minute of play forced Deersum FC's goalkeeper Arjen Atsma to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Verrebest HC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Elmar van Fessum hit a great ball. Joop Swart sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 69th minute, Oliver de Hoop hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oliver de Hoop got his second yellow card in the match during the 71st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 71st match minute, Verrebest HC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver de Hoop to maneuver through the defense. In the 72nd minute, Kurt Alberda sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Verrebest HC's Geert Arend van Westerop didn't even have to move. 79 minutes into the game, Koos Borker was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deersum FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Verrebest HC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Deersum FC's Koos Borker got a free kick in the 79th minute. Dirk-Jan Boswijk was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 80th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Geert Arend van Westerop made a fantastic save in the 91st minute, when Luuk Saeijs sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Verrebest HC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Deersum FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
