The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Izaak Schol struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Robbie Haydon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nymegen. Steve Kuys hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Izaak Schol sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Izaak Schol might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Robbie Haydon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Izaak Schol ran back to his position shaking his head. After 7 minutes, Dennis Blanker mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Nymegen and the Noordhoek players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Nymegen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Blanker to maneuver through the defense. Izaak Schol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie Haydon having to interfere. When the match clock showed 14 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Falco de Graaf sped through Noordhoek's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Robbie Haydon. After a rather tough play, Nymegen's Marcel Graaff got a free kick in the 35th minute. Noordhoek's Stephan Roelfs couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 36th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Nymegen. 38 minutes into the match, Nymegen's goalkeeper Maikel Daems had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Martien Weerman. Pieter Knuppel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Maikel Daems tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steve Kuys sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Nico Collen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maikel Daems having to interfere. After the first half Nymegen were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 59th minute of the match, Falco de Graaf tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Robbie Haydon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Falco de Graaf fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie Haydon having to interfere. 65 minutes into the game, Falco de Graaf cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Robbie Haydon was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Nymegen's Maikel Daems played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martien Weerman in the 72nd minute of play. Robbie Haydon was a little too slow when Izaak Schol got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 75th minute. The score was now 0-3. In the 82nd minute of the match, Falco de Graaf tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Robbie Haydon saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Izaak Schol fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Robbie Haydon having to interfere. After 86 minutes, Steve Kuys mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Noordhoek and the Nymegen players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Noordhoek getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Steve Kuys hit a great ball. With a little luck, Noordhoek's Robbie Haydon got control of the ball when Izaak Schol tried to sneak it across the goal line. Falco de Graaf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Izaak Schol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Robbie Haydon tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Richard Tonnis hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. The Noordhoek supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nymegen's performance. The match ended with a win for Nymegen.
