Carlo Daniels's late challenge caught a Huins FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Carlo Daniels helped the player get up and apologised. After 18 played minutes Duinen HC got a freekick which was hit by Carlo Daniels. The supporters of Huins FC booed when Duinen HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Co Sandstra didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 played minutes Huins FC got a freekick which was hit by Denny Bogarde. With a little luck, Huins FC's Pieter Schepers got control of the ball when Auke Hoeksma tried to sneak it across the goal line. Auke Hoeksma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pieter Schepers having to interfere. Pieter Schepers was a little too slow when Egbert Andriessen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-1. Duinen HC's Egbert Andriessen got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egbert Andriessen in the 35th minute of play forced Huins FC's goalkeeper Pieter Schepers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A hard shot 36 in the game by Auke Hoeksma from a close distance when the talented Pieter Schepers managed to make a qualified save. Huins FC's players were relieved. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Auke Hoeksma managed to get in a good position for a shot. Duinen HC's supporters rose to their feet, but Auke Hoeksma was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pieter Schepers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Egbert Andriessen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Egbert Andriessen was the one to do the kick off. When Egbert Andriessen came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Duinen HC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Egbert Andriessen couldn't finish the play. Leon Hommes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jouke Pieters, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carel Wortelboer kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Pieter Schepers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Auke Hoeksma, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After a rather tough play, Huins FC's Elco Rolink got a free kick in the 69th minute. The Huins FC players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Duinen HC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
