Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Ted Arts started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. An unexpected shot in the 4th minute by Gido Eefting got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jordi Mook received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 6th minute. Gerard Barends tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ivo Degenkamp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Tomas Hassel made a huge save. If Ted Arts had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Leendert van Zeist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivo Degenkamp recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 30 minutes, Gido Eefting managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Welp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gido Eefting was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Welp's goal looked a bit too open when Jordi Mook came free, but Gerard Barends reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Welp's Tom Spierenburg got a free kick in the 34th minute. The supporters of Scharl FC booed when Welp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank van Bronckhorst didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Jordi Mook came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Scharl FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jordi Mook couldn't finish the play. Gerard Barends didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ted Arts went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The Welp players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Scharl FC were winning 0-1.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gido Eefting was the one to do the kick off. In the 55thth minute of the game Ted Arts who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Welp's Gerard Barends was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gerard Barends showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Arts, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Scharl FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gido Eefting came free, but Tomas Hassel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 61st minute, Ivo Degenkamp ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tomas Hassel was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Gido Eefting struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Tomas Hassel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Welp. A collision led to Welp getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Frank van Bronckhorst hit a great ball. After having played for 81 minutes, Japke Ponk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scharl FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Japke Ponk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 2-1 when Gido Eefting sped through Scharl FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tomas Hassel. In the 88th match minute, Scharl FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Blikman to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute of the match Welp got a corner. Scharl FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Klaas Sanders ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Jordi Kaspers got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tomas Hassel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Gido Eefting received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Tomas Hassel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ivo Degenkamp came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Welp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ivo Degenkamp couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Scharl FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Welp.
