Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Gido Eefting took the kick off in the first half of the match. Ferdinant Buskes made a great header on Duinen HC's corner, it was just that Welp's Gerard Barends managed to reach the ball for a save. Duinen HC's Leon Hommes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivo Degenkamp in the 11th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Gido Eefting ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Leon Hommes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Ivo Degenkamp fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Welp's protests and gave Ivo Degenkamp a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Welp got a freekick which was hit by Ivo Degenkamp. Ivo Degenkamp might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leon Hommes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ivo Degenkamp ran back to his position shaking his head. Auke Hoeksma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Gerard Barends tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Welp's Gerard Barends proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Welp from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Auke Hoeksma took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Gerard Barends to make any attempt to save it. 41 minutes into the match, Duinen HC's Egbert Andriessen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gerard Barends narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Frank van Bronckhorst during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 42 played minutes Welp got a freekick which was hit by Frank van Bronckhorst. 43 minutes in the game, Auke Hoeksma dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Gerard Barends showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egbert Andriessen in the 48th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Egbert Andriessen made a kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Gido Eefting managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Welp's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gido Eefting was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of Welp booed when Duinen HC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ted Spijkerman didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Leon Hommes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egbert Andriessen in the 58th minute of play forced Welp's goalkeeper Gerard Barends to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tom Spierenburg hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Welp's zone, Egbert Andriessen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gerard Barends came out of the goal and Egbert Andriessen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tom Spierenburg blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leon Hommes having to make a save. Ivo Degenkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Gido Eefting had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Hommes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ivo Degenkamp in the 68th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Egbert Andriessen in the 78th minute of play forced Welp's goalkeeper Gerard Barends to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80th minute, Ivo Degenkamp made a precise shot to the right of Leon Hommes. Duinen HC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. In the 84th minute, Egbert Andriessen made a precise shot to the right of Gerard Barends. Welp's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Ivo Degenkamp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bram Crans charged in rather forcefully in the 95th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bram Crans the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Welp getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Bram Crans hit a great ball. Gerard Barends came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Duinen HC's Egbert Andriessen. But to his dismay, Egbert Andriessen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The Duinen HC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
